Chris Persyn

Chris Persyn:  Lawyer – Managing & Founding Partner

Chris co-founded Crivits & Persyn with Rik Crivits in 1988. He leads the  Firm’s Social Law department and specialises in labour/employment law, industrial accident law, social security law, and social criminal law. He publishes regularly on social law subjects and teaches at the Antwerp Management School (University of Antwerp) and Syntra West.  He is also chairman of the Technical Committee for Offshore Fishing established within the Fund for Industrial Accidents and a substitute judge at the Labour Court in Bruges.

Rik Crivits

Rik co-founded Crivits & Persyn with Chris Persyn  in 1988.  He leads the Firm’s Business Law department specialising in insolvency law, corporate law and commercial law. He acts as company liquidator, judicial trustee, and trustee, advises and assists with problems relating to insolvency, and in shareholders’ disputes. He is also a substitute judge at the Commercial Court of Bruges and a mediator in commercial matters.

Charline is a lawyer in Crivits & Persyn’s Social Law department and her areas of  focus include labour/employment  law, social security law and social criminal law. She specialises in dismissal law, industrial accident law and applications of the regulations governing welfare in the workplace.

Andrew Watson

Andrew Watson: Lawyer – Managing Partner

Andrew deals with dispute resolution and contested probate and has a track record in achieving favourable outcomes for clients in what are often complex, difficult and emotional cases.   He has worked on a wide range of civil litigation and commercial contract disputes, professional negligence matters, land disputes and boundary issues as well as contested debt recovery and enforcement cases.

Carl has overall responsibility for Girlings Solicitors' Business Law practice and is Head of the Employment/Labour Law department.  He is an experienced employment lawyer with expertise in all areas of employment law and Employment Tribunal litigation. He also has extensive experience of High Court litigation and partnership and shareholder disputes. He advises a diverse client base of listed and private companies across a wide range of business sectors. Carl is a member of the Employment Lawyers  Association and is a regular speaker at employment training seminars.

Charlotte Nock

Charlotte Nock: Lawyer – Partner

Charlotte is an expert in Private Client law.  Her areas of specialism include drafting simple and complex Wills, advice on Trusts and Inheritance Tax, the preparation of Lasting Power of Attorneys and French Inheritance Law. Charlotte is fluent in French and is the Firm’s principal point of contact for all matters relating to French Law.
